American Jobs
for America’s Heroes is an alliance
of the National Guard, the
Center for America (CFA),
Corporate America Supports You (CASY) and the
Military Spouse Corporate Career Network
(MSCCN) to help unemployed National Guard
members, veterans and spouses find skilled jobs
in the private sector.
CASY is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization
founded in 2004 that focuses on improving
employment and education opportunities for all
service members, veterans, and military spouses.
CASY is the parent of the
MSCCN, a 501(c)3
nonprofit organization focusing on job creation
and job readiness for U.S. military-affiliated
job seekers.
Relying completely on private
donations, CASY and MSCCN have formed
partnerships with more than 600 major
corporations resulting in the largest private
sector job bank in the nation dedicated to
military personnel. More than 3.5 million
military personnel have benefited from CASY and
MSCCN’s direct Applicant - Recruiter Connect
Placement Program, job bank, job counseling and
employment-readiness training, among other
services.
In September
2011,
MSCCN received the prestigious
Newman's Own Award,
one of six organizations chosen this year from
among 186 nominated groups. |

Center for America is a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization founded in 2004 to expand nonpartisan
public dialog about vital issues facing the country. In
recognition of how the growing skills shortage will
devastate the economy, families and communities, this year
CFA launched the 10 By 20 Pledge for America campaign, with
the goal of mobilizing grassroots America to support
expanded skills training programs in local communities.
Major companies, trade associations, school systems,
community colleges, unions and nonprofit organizations are
working with CFA to promote the campaign. CFA is taking the
lead on communicating with tens of thousands of businesses
to recruit and register them in this initiative through an
ongoing national media and web-based communications effort.
The
National Guard is
communicating through all available channels with members,
veterans and spouses, including more than one million
Facebook followers, to encourage use of the expanded
job portal at www.MSCCN.org. MSCCN and CFA have the full
support and collaboration of the National Guard in this
initiative.
